TENS Rentals
The Transcutaneous Electric Nerve Stimulation (TENS) device is designed for labour, providing a drug-free pain relief option to support natural birth. Two BabyCare Elle units are available in Hermanus for hire for ±3 weeks surrounding your due date. Get in touch for availability.
Postnatal Services
Postnatal Visits
Postnatal visits in the Hermanus area for new moms and babies after hospital discharge. It includes check-ups, advice, growth monitoring, and answers to baby questions. A summary and invoice with ICD-10 codes are provided for medical aid claims. Book your visit.
Breastfeeding Support
A breastfeeding consult covers health history, concerns, latching, positioning, hand expression, and a baby growth check. Follow-up visits and continued support via phone, email, and WhatsApp are available until breastfeeding is established. Contact for booking.
WhatsApp Support
Support is at your fingertips for those niggling questions in the early days and as your baby grows. Recommended 3-month subscription from birth. This is very popular and makes for good baby shower gifts for the expecting mother. Sign me up!
Early Intervention Services
Baby Basics
Learn emergency techniques for infants and children, including managing unresponsiveness, choking, fever, minor head injuries, burns, and baby safety. This class, taught by a qualified BLS instructor, empowers new parents and caregivers to respond confidently.
CPR for Everyone
The CPR for Everyone course teaches CPR, choking management, and AED use for adults, children, and infants. It's ideal for lay responders, including security, law enforcement, teachers, lifeguards, and non-medical staff. See the event calendar or get in touch for dates.
Basic Life Support
The American Heart Association’s BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and pre-hospital settings.
